Delete your Weyed account

Trailsafe Pty Ltd (Australia) · Last updated 21 August 2026

You can delete your Weyed account and the personal information attached to it. There are two ways to do it, and the first is immediate.

In the app (immediate)

  1. Open the Weyed app and sign in.
  2. On the Home screen, tap your own name at the top to open your Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. You will be signed out and your login destroyed straight away.

Agents and transport companies can do the same from Profile on the web dashboard.

One thing that will wait: a job you are part way through

If you have started work on a job and have not finished or left it, the app will not delete your account yet. It will tell you which job, and you can carry on and delete straight afterwards.

This is the only thing that can hold a deletion up, and it is not a way of keeping you. A convoy is a safety arrangement: while a movement is under way, the other vehicles are relying on seeing where you are, and they are driving and cannot be asked. Finish the job or leave it, and the deletion goes through immediately.

Nothing else delays it. In particular, an unpaid invoice will never stop you deleting your account — Weyed does not handle payments, and an invoice here is only a document.

By email

If you cannot sign in — you have lost access to the email address on the account, or the app will not open — email privacy@weyed.com.au from the address on the account, or tell us enough to identify it. We will confirm your identity before deleting anything, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Everything that identifies you personally:

What is kept, and why

We would rather be straight with you about this than promise an erasure we cannot perform.

Records of work you actually did are not solely ours to erase. The agent who paid you, the transport company whose load you escorted, and an insurer assessing an incident all have a legitimate interest in them — and in the case of tax invoices, Australian law requires them to be kept for seven years.

So the following are retained, but anonymised — they no longer carry your name or any other identifier, and cannot be linked back to you:

This is a deliberate choice. A convoy's GPS trace is a shared record of a journey several parties took part in; deleting one participant out of it would destroy the other participants' record of their own work, and in an incident would destroy the evidence. The same reasoning applies to which vehicle escorted a load — that is part of the same shared record, so the vehicle is kept while the plate that identifies its owner is not.

If you are an agent or a transport company

Deleting an agent account does not delete the pilots in your pool — they hold their own accounts. Jobs you created remain, anonymised, for the people who worked them. Any job you were still offering stops being offered, and the pilots who had already taken it are told.

Unpaid invoices are not cancelled by deleting your account, and they will not stop you deleting it either. Settle them the way you normally would — Weyed does not move the money.
